My condolences, Kim and Mike. Frank was a nice man and a good friend to my father, Bill Carss, for many years. I enjoyed seeing him when I was visiting – often at Christmastime when he would stop by to deliver some of Helen’s delicious baking. He was a regular at the farm where everyone liked his company and appreciated his skills, which included driving the combine during grain cropping.
I always recall, with a smile, a conversation in which I asked Dad if any younger folk had been helping him when he’d been out on the tractor doing field work, and he replied: “Frank”. Young Frank was just two years his junior, and they were both well into their 80s at the time.
