Dixie brought light and joy wherever she went. No matter the situation, you always knew that your day was going to be a little better just by being in her presence. I feel priveleged to have known her.
Debbie, Locksley and family, we are so sorry for your loss but hope you may find some comfort and peace by remembering the wonderful memories of happier times with Dixie.

I was so sorry to hear of Dixie’s passing. What an amazing legacy she has left her family and her community.I have great memories of the fun we had at the Huntley Curling Club and especially of our bonspieling days.We curled together numerous times in the Crystal Pebble and although I don’t recall our wins or losses, I do remember the camaraderie, the fun, and always with Dixie, so much laughter!
I will keep all her family in my prayers.
Sincerely
Linda Downey

So sorry for your loss. I only met Dixie on a few occasions when she attended my yoga classes at the Carp Commons Retirement Centre but I was truly touched by the devotion Locks and Dixie had for each other…such a great comfort.

Sending love from the Newfoundland Trenholms: Robert, Sheila, Emily, and Daniel. Distance, the pace of time, and busy lives leave behind regrets when the opportunities to reconnect with family are gone. I will miss Dixie's smiling face, her positivity, her warmth and hospitality.

My dearest Trenholm Friends,
When Locksley and Dixie and family arrived in Westwood...you were considered "new ones" by the locals...but, it sure didn't take long for all of you to become beloved Carpies. Thanks so much for sharing Dixie with the Community......no better Community Builders were both Dixie and Locks. Her enthusiasm and spirited outlook was contagious.....if any group was looking for a job to be done..it would be Dixie that would be summoned. They weren't even curlers when they approached the people of Huntley with the idea to build a curling club. We have Dixie to thank for all of her fund raising in the 80/90's....lots of "berry pies" were backed in Huntley Township and beyond.
With a happy grin, I can only imagine the fateful initial meeting of Locksley and Dixie in the parking lot at Tunneys....as they say "The rest is history"
Dixie was inflicted with a dreadful disease...but she sure lead a rewarding and fulfilling life until that time.
Cherish those wonderful enduring memories of a very beloved lady.
Kindly,
Charlene J.

My sincerest condolences to the Trenholm family with the passing of Dixie. I worked with Dixie at the Carp Medical Centre for and I got to know her quite well. I loved her spirit and energy and her never ending smile. She was a great lady and I know Dixie has left her mark on so many things. Her love for her family was so apparent with her sharing lots of funny stories, Dixie was so proud of kids. It was a privilege to have worked with Dixie and I just want to say “she will be missed”.
