Obituary of Lorraine Porter

With heavy hearts the family announces that Lorraine passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, with family by her side on Wednesday morning, February 5, 2025.

She was 64.

Beloved wife of Terry Lascelle.

Mom of Chris Porter (Lesley Silver), Leanne Porter (Nick Chislett), Heather Porter (Michael Dervenis).

Stepmother of Erin Robertson (Jason) and Lindsay Lascelle.

Dear sister of Joanne Bruce and Katie MacDonald (Bill).

Predeceased by her brother Charlie Bryant (Kathe).

Grandma of Landon, Judge, Elektra, Simarah, Portland, Beckett, Grant, Bella, Addyson, Grayson, Griffin, Madeleine.

Lorraine was predeceased by her mother, Paula McCooeye (nee Caspard); her father, Jack Bryant as well as her stepfather, Gerald McCooeye.

Lorraine's beautiful demeanor,  gentle, nurturing spirit and soft voice touched hearts wherever she went and in all she did.

She had a warm caring heart, and always had a burning desire to be helpful to others.

Her kindness and gentleness always preceded her and was felt by everyone in her presence.

She had a giving heart and would never let you leave without supplying you in abundance.

She loved to bake, and leave tasty surprises at everyone’s door.

She loved outdoor hikes and family get togethers, especially with the grandchildren.

Lorraine had a strong faith in God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

She loved the Lord and loved to honour Him in her music. Her soothing voice has touched many hearts.

It was her faith that carried her through the last few difficult weeks, and even in her struggle, she always looked to be a help and comfort to those around her.

She was an exceptional wife, sister, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

Words are not adequate to express our sorrow and loss, and although she is sorely missed, we are thankful she is out of pain and with Her precious Savior, where she always longed to be.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Zadow, Dr Padeanu and all the nurses for their exceptional compassion and care that they extended to Lorraine.

Lorraine’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior
