Obituary of Matthew Hopkins

Suddenly at home on Friday, January 31, 2025. Matthew John Hopkins of Ottawa passed away at the age of 66 years.

He is remembered by his children Anthony and Emily Hopkins.

Grandfather of Rylee and Zayden.

Dear son of Margaret Hopkins, Brother of Paul (Dawn), Anne and Amanda Hopkins.

Also survived by his former common-law wife of 27 years Christine Lapierre as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Matthew was a complex individual, a man of contradictions, sometimes challenging, strong-willed.

He left a lasting impact and will be remembered for his unique personality.
