Obituary of Penny Hill

With broken hearts, the family announces that Penny passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital with her daughter Kelly by her side on Friday evening, February 7, 2025.

Penelope Hill of Arnprior was 70 years of age.

Beloved wife of the late Greg Hill.

Dearly loved mother of Will Wallace (Chelsea Lye-Lee), Denis Trahan (Elisa Kingsbury) and Kelly MacRae (James).

Cherished and forever remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dear sister of Terry Smith (Rosemary), Pamela O’Malley (Tony), Wayne Smith (John) and Patsy Ayotte (Phil).

Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Patricia (nee Dodge) Smith as well as her brother, Mervin Smith.

Lovingly remembered the Hill family and also by her many nieces and nephews.

Penny enjoyed the simple things in life.

She took great pleasure in playing Bingo while spending time with family and friends.

She was a longtime employee of Valley Caterers in Arnprior. 

Penny was also a proud member of the Renfrew Legion.

Penny’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family of Arnprior

where visitation will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:45.

A Service to honour and remember Penny will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock.

Reception afterward. Inurnment will take place privately at the Albert Street Columbarium.
