Obituary of Joey Watters

“Joey”

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Joey passed away peacefully at Billingswood Manor in Ottawa on Monday afternoon, February 10, 2025.

Joey Watters, a longtime resident of Arnprior was 91 years of age.

Beloved husband of the late Marie-Thérèse “Terry” (nee Dénommé) Watters who passed away in 2013.

Dearly loved Dad of Joey Watters (Shelley Patrick) and Christine Watters (Alain Germaine).

Cherished “Pépère” of Malcolm, Honoura, Bradach and Christine’s puppy, Cuddles.

Joey is survived by his sister, Theresa Charbonneau.

Predeceased by his parents, William Henry and Cecilia (nee Whalen) Watters as well as 5 brothers: Emmett, Eddie, Gerald, Lorne, Billy and one sister, Margaret Watters.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joey was a general contractor for commercial and residential construction in the Ottawa area for over 40 years.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Billingswood Manor, especially Rebecca Smith, for their kind and compassionate care of Joey during his stay there.

Joey’s final arrangements have bee entrusted to the care of his longtime neighbors, the Pilon Family of Arnprior.

A private visitation followed by a graveside service at the Malloch Road Cemetery took place on Wednesday, February 19^th, 2025.
