Obituary of Joan Thomson

With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Joan Thomson at home on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill Thomson on January 13, 2025.

Loving mother of Barbara Vincent, Bonnie Thomson-Barnard (Scott) and Terry (Joyce Rombouts).

Joan was the cherished grandmother of Ryan Vincent (Hanna MacDonald), Eric Vincent (Daphne Strader) and Madison Barnard as well as great-grandmother to Ella and Weston Vincent..

She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Margaret Nighbor and survived by her sisters Audrey Johnston (late Earl) and Claire Linde (late Basil).

Joan’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior.

A private burial for Joan, along with her husband Bill, will take place in the spring at the Flat Rapids Cemetery in McNab/Braeside.
