I would like to add a few comments on Audrey's early years. She was born the daughter of a barber and a former country girl from Clam Harbour.. Right from the beginning she showed a taste for adventure, ranging from prewar flights with her uncle in his biplane, out of the old Halifax airport, to saving a life guard who was hesitant to jump from a boat that was about to explode on the Northwest Arm. On top of all that she danced a fine Sailor's Hornpipe, as I recall as her youngest brother. Marrying Norrie gave her the opportunity to find new adventures with a kindred spirit across greater Canada. I have many fond memories of family visits with their little brood while Norrie was based in Moncton. Audrey's siblings are Robie Mervyn (deceased), Gordon Lauren, Nancy Catherine, Danny Roy, and Nadia Lynn.

My deepest condolences to my cousins, their families and friends. Dementia is a cruel disease and I firmly believe Aunt Audrey is in a much better place now. My memories of Aunt Audrey date back to the time before the family moved to Masset, BC. Glen, Kevin and I were just kids and our families visited each other regularly when they were stationed in the Ottawa area. I remember her being an intelligent, confident and capable woman. Not many could have adjusted as well let alone thrived in the remote places Uncle Norrieās career took them. She was talented at anything she put her mind to and I always admired her for that. Hugs to you all. Sandy, xo
