Obituary of Raymond "Ray" Martin

With great sadness the family announces that Raymond passed away peacefully at the Bonnechere Manor on Saturday evening, February 22, 2025.

Raymond Roy Martin was in his 81^st year.

Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee MacDonald).

Raymond leaves behind his loving daughter Holly O’Brien (Maurice) and his cherished grandson Brendan.

Also survived by his dear brothers Paul (Anne-Marie), Maurice and his sister Judy Jobin (late Phil), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved dearly.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents; Walter and Germaine (nee Drapeau) Martin, as well as 3 brothers: John, Bart (Mary) and Louis (Mariette).

Raymond took pride in his hard work as a railway carman for Via Rail for 35 years.

He treasured time with loved ones. His love and adoration for his family came second only to his devotion to his faith. Raymond dedicated many years to various parish communities and was a proud contributing member of the Knights of Colombus.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends and many acquaintances he made throughout his life.

Raymond’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home where visitation will be held on

Wednesday, February 26^th from 2-4 and 6-8.

A Funeral Mass for Raymond will take place at

St. John Chrysostom Church in Arnprior on

Thursday morning at 11 o’clock.

The service will be recorded and uploaded to our website Thursday afternoon for those unable to attend.

Reception to follow.

Private family interment, Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
