Joann, Jeannie, Heather and Sheila, I am so sorry i was not able to attend your mom's service. I always enjoyed chatting with your mom whenever I would see her. She always had a big beautiful smile. My parents (Bob and Jean) were friends with your mom and dad for many years. They always enjoyed spending time with them. Please know I am thinking of you all at this difficult time.

My Nanny was a fiercely strong, loving and amazing woman. I can’t begin to explain how much she has meant to me in my life, all that she has done for our family and I. Though I’ve know this would happen for some time now, it’s still hurts deeply to know she’s no longer with us. I cherish the times and memories I had with her, from our walks to Giant Tiger/IGA, and the candy bag she would spoil me with, too spending the night with her if there was a storm. From us living in her house with her, and having 3 generations being woken up by the train across the street, to her (possibly illegally?) putting change on those train tracks and giving me the coins after they have been flattened. The amount of memories I have with Nanny and her house on the corner lot, I pray I don’t forget all the times we’ve had together, that those memories will come back to me while I’m feeling down, to cheer me up, like she would in my hard times. I love you Nanny. May you make it to heaven soon, and be with your friends and family again.

Shirley was the most kind, genuine,sweet lady..She was my Mother's best friend and like a second Mother to all of us..So many memories up at the homestead on Poole.St and at the cottage..Many good times and funny moments shared and tears during difficult times..You were there for it all..You will live in our hearts forever..
