Obituary of Shirley Matheson

(nee Bertrand)

Peacefully, at Groves Park Lodge in the early morning hours of Sunday, March, 16^th, Shirley passed away just a few weeks shy of her 90th birthday.

Beloved wife of the late Angus “Scotty” Matheson (1992).

Loved and treasured mom of Joann Seginowich, Jeannie Drew, Heather Cameron (Robin) and Sheila Sabadash (Ed).

Shirley will be deeply missed by her 13 grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

She was predeceased by her only brother, Donnie Bertrand.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel (nee Mattison) Bertrand.

Special thanks to the staff of Groves Park Lodge for their care and compassion.

Shirley’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home

where visitation will take place on Thursday morning, March 20^th from 10-10:45.

A Tribute to honour Shirley will be held in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow.
