Obituary of Willie McMillan

May 9, 1935 – March 26, 2025

Peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior early Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025; William Lawrence “Willie” McMillan, a lifelong farmer from McNab Township passed away at the age of 89 years.

Predeceased on March 12, 2023 by his beloved wife of almost 68 years, Edna (nee Cunningham).

Much loved and respected Dad and mentor of Keith (Margaret Stewart) and the late Kevin McMillan (November 14, 2015). 

Special Buddy to Jake Smithson and beloved “old Poppa" to David and William Bennett. 

Special brother-in-law and dearest friend of Laura Fraser (late Charlie) and Libby McLean (late Ray).

 Also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and great friends.

The last surviving child of the late Bob and Kate McMillan, Willie was predeceased by his 3 brothers: Robert James “R.J.”, John (late Marion) and Roy as well as 3 sisters: Mary Bandy (late Glen), Jean Campbell (late Guard) and Marion Koch (late Horace).

Willie's final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family in Arnprior where visitation will take place on

Monday evening, March 31st from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning, April 1st from 9:45 to 10:45.

A Service to honour and remember Willie will be held in the Pilon Family Chapel on

Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock.

Interment White Lake Cemetery.
