Obituary of Louise Dansereau-Smith

With heavy hearts, the family announces that following a lengthy illness,

Louise passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Louise Dansereau-Smith of Arnprior was only 67 years of age.

Beloved mother of Craig Smith and Katie Smith (Matt Socha).

Dear sister of Mike Dansereau and Carole Legault (late Paul).

Predeceased by a brother, Alfred Dansereau as well as 3 sisters: Margaret Joly (late Leo), Jeanne Bilodeau (Serge) and Lise Wareham (late John).

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Daughter of the late Roland and Evelyn (nee Harris) Dansereau.

Apart from being a proud and devoted Mom, Louise was a people person. She spent many of her working years in retail sales.

She simply loved being with and helping people.

She recently moved to the Arnprior Villa where she made many wonderful and supportive friends.

She will be missed.

Final arrangements for Louise have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior

where visitation will take place on Thursday afternoon, May 15^th from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.

A service to honour and remember Louise will be held in the Pilon Family Chapel at 2 o’clock.
