Obituary of Janette Storie
April 4, 1934 - May 19, 2025
Janette much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Cherished wife of the late William (Bill) Storie for over 60
years. With Bill by her side they raised a family: Susan McFarlane (Jim) and
Peter Storie (Angela Commanda). She loved every moment with her
cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren: Robert McFarlane
(Melanie), Thomas McFarlane (Erika), Sarah Storie, Derek Storie, Charlie
Hein, Becki-Mae Phillips (Mike) and her great grandchildren, Taylor
Dumolin (Elaine), Brendan Dumolin (Eylulu), Callum McFarlane,
Emberleigh McFarlane, Madison McFarlane, Hudson McFarlane, Oliver
McFarlane, Elijah McFarlane, Xavier Wesigarth, Georgina Storie, Cohen
Storie, Kadance Moore, Noah Hein, Wren Hein.
Janette was the oldest of the McLaren girls. She is survived by her sister
Aldene Gray, her sister-in-law Janice Letang (Jim) and her brother-in-law
Kent Storie. Aunt Jen will be fondly remembered by many nieces and
nephews,
She is predeceased by her parents Jean (Crogie) and Allan McLaren, her
sister Marilyn Wallace, her in-laws Ruby (Russett) and Lindsay Storie, and
several beloved siblings-in-law: Emmett Gray, Robert Wallace, Robert and
Barbara (Utronki) Storie, Dwayne and Mona (Martel) Storie and Gerald
Gauthier, Lynne (Arnold) Storie.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers
who supported Janette throughout her journey: Dr. Bodig and the staff at
Quail creek and Dr. Kurian and the staff at The Grove.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the
Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior
where visitation will be held on Friday, May 23rd from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
A Funeral Service will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock.
Reception to follow.
Interment Castleford Union Cemetery.
