Obituary of Gloria Goold

With sadness yet grateful for a beautiful long life, the family announces that Gloria passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Gloria Ann Goold of Braeside was 96 years of age.

Beloved wife, partner and best friend of Cecil for over 75 years.

Dearly loved mother of Susan Scheel (Bill), Julie Devecseri (Bill) and Peter Goold (Stephanie Rennick).

Cherished and proud Nana of Laura Lewis (Shawn), Kristen Scheel (Yandu Oppacher), Heather Foster (Colin), Chris Devecseri  (Jessica Storie), Ben Devecseri (Shohannah Smith), Graydon Goold (Hannah Aubin) and Barrett Goold.  Great-Grandma of Reed, Camryn, Clark, Ryder, Jasper, Maelle, Knox, Lincoln, Finn, Bodhi, Claire, Colton and Callie.

Gloria was the last surviving child of the late Christopher (Ab) and Dorothy (nee Hill) Cuthbert.

She was also predeceased by her 2 brothers: Gordon Cuthbert (late Doris) and Brent Cuthbert (Patsy).

Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends who had the pleasure of knowing and sharing with Gloria.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Maritza, Jennifer and Liz for their kindness and care of Mom.

Gloria’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior

where friends may pay their respects on Thursday evening, June 5th from 6 to 8 p.m.

and again on Friday morning, June 6th from 9:30 to 10:20.

A Funeral Service will be held in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior on Friday morning at 11 o’clock

followed by interment at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.

Reception Carlton Reid Memorial Hall.

For those wishing and in recognition of Gloria’s love for animals, a donation to the Arnprior District Humane Society would be appreciated by her family.
