I met Peter as an acquaintance of my older brothers, in Crystal Beach, during the late 1960's. I joined army cadets, the 30th Field Artillery - Ottawa, in 1970. Peter and 3 of my older brothers already belonged to the 30th Field cadet corp. I recall Peter's excellent memory for the words of many a hilarious military song, along with a few tales and fables of cadet experiences.
As a family friend, Peter remained a lifelong part of our lives. From drilling rigs and fishing trips in Alberta, and his return to the Ottawa area and EB Eddy, to his early retirement in Mexico, we remained in touch with Peter.
Hopefully, more people will share their memories of Peter here. I would love to read them.

Peter was like an uncle to me. We lovingly referred to him as Unky Pete which he loved. All his travels and adventures he always made time for us. Best friends with my late father Ed; they lived it up and lived it out in Mexico over the years. Memories of his beloved doggo Fred. Fishing stories. Dating stories. And getting into trouble with my old man. Many beers and tears. I hope to be able to pay my final respects. We love you Peter. Jennifer & the Stanton Fam
