Robert Dwayne “Burt” Phillips

(Owner Prior Things, Arnprior)

With heartfelt sadness, the family announces that Burt passed away suddenly but very peacefully at home in Arnprior on Friday morning, July 25, 2025.

He was only 53 years of age.

Beloved son of Beverley (nee Downey) Phillips and the late Dwayne Phillips.

Dear brother of Randie (David Kerr) and Cory (Kelly Roberts).

Forever special “Uncle Burt” of Izabelle and Arthur.

Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful customers and friends.

Burt was the proud founder, owner and operator of Prior Things on John Street in Downtown Arnprior.

He spent his days hunting for treasures and oddities to display and sell in his store.

Through his work, he was a sort of entertainer to potential clients who took pleasure in browsing the store’s contents looking for that special something to take home.

He prided himself on being local and supporting local.

He will be missed by many.

Burt’s final care has been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service to be held at the Goshen Cemetery Columbarium, 52 Canaan Road, Renfrew

on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025 at 11 o’clock.

A reception will follow at the Masonic Hall, 31 James Street, Arnprior.

In memory of Robert, a donation made to the Arnprior Hospital Opportunity Shop would be greatly appreciated by his family.
