Obituary of Sherman Ohlman

Sherman Ohlman

Retired – Boeing Canada (Arnprior)

(Devoted Toronto Maples Leafs Fan)

September 23, 1927 – August 6, 2025

With sadness yet grateful for a long and well lived life,

the family announces that Sherman passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday evening, August 6, 2025.

Sherman Ohlman of Arnprior was almost 98 years of age.

Beloved husband of the late Anna (nee Courchesne). Dearly loved Dad of Randy (Arlene) and Wendy Whitman (Bernie).

Cherished and proud Grandpa of Alex Ohlman (Jess Bates) and Madison Ohlman (Lisa Wall).

Sherman also enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Bernie’s children: Mark (Natalie), Saun (Jessica) and Julie Raycroft (Mark).

Also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren.

Brother-in-law of the late Joyce Courchesne (late George).

Son of the late Charles and Pearl (nee Lepinski) Ohlman.

Sherman was a longtime employee of Boeing here in Arnprior.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He took an interest in all sports in general but his love for hockey and the Toronto Maple Leafs was above and beyond.

Some may have called him a Leafs fanatic.

He loved the banter and the conversation.

Final care for Sherman has been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday morning, August 13th from 9:30 to 10:45

followed by a service to honour and remember Sherman in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock.

Reception at Pilon’s.

Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
