Obituary of Tammy Jones

Tammy Ann Jones

(Wife, Mom, Musician)

 

With deep sorrow and eternal love, the family announces that Tammy passed away at the Ottawa Hospital – General Campus on Friday, August 8, 2025.

She was only 46 years young.

Beloved wife, best friend and partner of Brad Hodge.

Loved Mom, confidant and mentor of Troy.

Cherished sister of Amber Jones (Phil Archambault) and Trevor Jones.

Daughter of James “Jim” and the late Sandra (nee Harkes) Jones.

 

Tammy was born on March 13,1979 in Ottawa. She was the oldest of three children and older sister to Trevor and Amber.

Tammy attended Canterbury high school in Ottawa with a focus on Music and Singing.

A very talented musician and songwriter. Tammy was in numerous bands and latest, her own band where she led the Tammy Jones band.

Tammy worked at the Nepean school of music for numerous years until 2020.

Tammy began a relationship with Brad Hodge, her loving husband in August 2003. They were married on July 9, 2011.

Tammy gave birth to their son Troy on January 19, 2013.

Tammy led her life to the fullest. She loved performing and having fun with everything she did.

She was very loyal to her loved ones. She loved the game of Football and the biggest fan of her son Troy.

Most importantly Tammy was and extremely caring and loving mother to Troy and wife to Brad.

Tammy was so easy to love and will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

 

Heartfelt thanks to the Dr. Jinni Song, the nurses and staff of the Oncology Department at the Ottawa General Hospital

for their incredible care of Tammy and her family.

Though a cure was not to be, your tireless efforts will not be forgotten.

 

Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior.

Visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon, August 16th from 2 to 3:45 p.m.

A Service to honour, remember and celebrate Tammy will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 4 o’clock.
