Obituary of Geraldine Pierce

Geraldine Pierce

With deep sorrow and immense gratitude for a life well lived, the family announces the passing of Geraldine Beatrice Pierce (nee Dazé);

beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of Douglas Pierce. Much loved mother of Cheryl Gustafson (Jack) and Carolyn Emard (Pat).

Cherished by her grandchildren Laine Gustafson (Ryan), John Gustafson (Cayci), Leigh Gustafson (Brendan), Rachael Saucier (Kyle).

As well as her great-grandchildren Thea, Oliver, Callie, and Cedar.

Sister of Wayne Dazé (Bonnie) and Sandra Bullard (Dave) and Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her brother, Fred Dazé (Diana) and her sister, Karen McCormick.

For over 68 years, she shared a remarkable love story with her devoted husband, Doug, building a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering partnership.

Together they created a home that welcomed all with warmth and joy.

She was the heart of our family—full of fun, quick to laugh, and always ready with a twinkle in her eye.

Her laugh and sense of humour was contagious.

Her spirit unshakable. She taught us the power of persistence, the beauty of resilience,

the quiet strength of determination, and how to be resourceful in every season of life.

Most of all, she gave us the gift of unconditional love.

Steady, forgiving, and unwavering, her love was freely given – never earned, never questioned.

It grounded us, uplifted us, and showed us what it truly means to love without limits.

That kind of love changes people. It changed us.

She led by example—with grace in hardship and generosity in abundance.

Her legacy lives on in the values she passed down, the stories she told, and the way she made each of us feel deeply loved.

She will be dearly missed more than words can say by all who had the joy of knowing her.

Geraldine’s private final care has been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior.

A private family graveside service and interment will take place at the Sand Point Public Cemetery.

In her memory, please consider a donation to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
