With Sadness, the family announces that following a courageous and tiring battle with cancer, Tom passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2025. Thomas Hiram Findlay of Kinburn was 70 years of age. Beloved husband of Shelly Latreille. Loved and proud Dad of Shane and Kyle. Dear brother of Ronnie “Ron”, Shirley Heise (Bill) and Bonnie Findlay. Cherished Poppa of Travis. Fondly remembered by many extended family members, neighbors and great friends.

Tom enjoyed life to the fullest. He worked hard, lived hard and played even harder. He was an accomplished mechanic for many years. Though his work was really important to him, he took great pride and pleasure in racing cars. When not working or puttering around the farm, he could be found near or on a race track always trying to finish in first place.

He finally crossed the finish line and the checkered flag has been raised for the last time.

Final care and arrangements for Tom have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior. A Visitation will take place on Saturday morning, September 6^th from 9:30 to 10:45 followed by a Tribute to Tom in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Everyone is then invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at the Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
