Obituary of Jimmy Campbell

James Ernest “Jimmy” Campbell

(Retired Detective Sergeant – Ottawa Police Force)

 

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Jim passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 31, 2025 following a lengthy illness.

He was 82 years of age.

Beloved husband and best friend of Carol (nee Ambridge). 

Dearly loved Dad of Jeffery (Darlene), Todd (Kendra), Dawn-Lynn Freill (Barry), Tracey Freill (Peter) and Allison Hall (Steven).

Cherished Grandpa of Holly, Christine, Jimmy, Cheryl, Kelsey, Joanne, Emily, Brianna, Joshua, Benjamin, and Laura and Great-Grandfather of 11.

 

Dear brother of

Shirley McCauley (Roy) and Robert Campbell (Christine).

Predeceased by a brother Wayne.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Son of the late Horace and Retta Campbell

 

 

Heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Arnprior Hospital who provided such amazing care to Jim and the family during his stay there.

Your kindness and attention will not be forgotten.

 

Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior

where visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14 from 9:30 to 10:45.

A Service to honour and remember Jim will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock followed by a reception.
