Dear Gaye and family, I'm so sorry to hear that Bryn has died. Your wedding was probably the most joyful and sincere I have ever attended, with my boyfriend of the time who did a lot of work with John Galt at CJOH. I live in Victoria now but occasionally check into the Citizen. Bryn was a lovely man.

Dear Gaye and family, and to such an extraordinary husband, dad and grandpa
My fondest memories are the summer parties you and Bryn hosted for all the neighbours around your farm in Pakenham. My parents were never treated so well. I knew Bryn's executive and polished side, but I mostly think of him kicking back in his boots and barn clothes. He's quite a fellow - our deepest sympathies to you all. love Cindy, Jerry, Isaiah, Jackson and Matthew Skebo xo

I was so saddened to hear of Bryn Matthews’ passing. When I was a child, I had the joy of working at CJOH on one of the kids’ shows Bryn helped bring to life. Even then, his kindness, enthusiasm, and creativity left a lasting impression on me. He had a way of making everyone—no matter how young—feel that their ideas and contributions mattered.
Reading about his extraordinary life, I see how many others were touched by that same generosity of spirit. My heartfelt condolences to Gaye, his family, and all who loved him.

Gaye and family, my deepest condolences on your loss. During our working relationship together Bryn and I shared many terrific conversations and enjoyed a strong bond of mutual respect and friendship. During retirement we often met for lunch, along with others, to refresh memories share laughs and keep up to date with each others activities.
He was a true gentleman, possessing many enduring qualities. He will be missed.

Dear Gaye, Zoe, Adam and the entire family, my Deepest heartfelt condolences go out to you all.
I've known Bryn from his time at CJOH and upon meeting him for the first time, I can recall thinking what a true gentleman he was. He had a keen wit and true love of his family, I will miss our in depth conversations on the economy and the markets.
Rest in peace my dear friend, you may be gone but never forgotten.

Farfar. Father’s father. All the attributes of a wonderful grandfather… a role model for all of us who worked with him. A thoughtful gentle person. A wise and eloquent man. A leader who really listened. A renaissance man with the soul of an artist. He defended his people with the heart of a lion.
He was fair. He was funny. He had a wonderful smile.
It was a privilege to work for him and to learn from him.

Gay and family:
I am saddened to learn that Bryn has passed. He was such a kind and down to earth person. I had the privilege of working with him in Management. I remember visiting him at his home in Pakenham to pick up eggs. I pray God will give you strength through this very difficult time. Bryn is free of pain now and at peace.

How does one even begin to describe your boss if your boss was Bryn Matthews?
I was blessed to work in the CJ,OH production department in the Matthews/Murdie years.
Bryn gave me challenges and opportunities that shaped my entire 40+ career in TV production. I’m so grateful to him.
Life in our department was never dull. And we knew we had a visionary champion.
My condolences to Gaye, their children, and all of their extended family. He loved you all so much.
