Obituary of Norma Calnan

(October 6, 1932 – October 14, 2025)

The family announces that Norma passed away peacefully at The Grove Long Term Care Facility in Arnprior

with loved ones by her side on Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2025 just a few days following her 93rd birthday.

Beloved wife of the late Lawrence “Larry” Calnan (January 13, 2021).

Dearly loved mother of Michael, Tim (Lynn Neville) and Stephen.

Cherished grandmother of Jamie Sexsmith-Calnan.

Also survived by her former daughter-in-law Samantha Sexsmith.

She was the only child of the late John B. and Helen “Mayme” (nee Lortie) Stephens.

The family wish to extend heartfelt thanks to Charlene Scott for her friendship and dedication and the amazing care she provided to our mother.

Also, thanks to Shannon Hewitt, Morgan Hewitt and Kelsie Habecker for their previous support when Mom was at Island View Suites in Arnprior.

To the entire staff at The Grove, Dr. Becker and nurses, for keeping Mom comfortable.

An exceptionally large hug for all the personal support workers.

You are all the very best and your kindness will not be forgotten.

Norma’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior

where visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, October 21^st from 9:45 to 10:45

followed by a Funeral Liturgy in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock.

Interment will take place at Glenhaven Cemetery, Kingston later in the day.

In memory of Norma, a donation to The Grove Long Term Care Facility, Arnprior would be appreciated by her family.
