Obituary of Jason "Jay" Schnob

With immense sadness, the family announces that Jay passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Sunday morning, October 19, 2025 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 41 years of age.

Devoted husband and best friend of Jill Campbell.
Proud and loving dad of Cole Carpenter (Hannah Delmer) and Robbie Schnob.
Beloved son of Kim Blackburn (late Jim) and the late Bobby Schnob.
Dear brother of Joe Schnob and the late Jordan Schnob (2020).
Predeceased by his grandparents: Rolly and Colleen (née Pecaskie) Schnob, and Norman and Frances “Nanny Franny” (nee Courchesne) Savard.
Special brother-in-law of Lesa Campbell and James Campbell, and son-in-law of Carole (nee Moorhead) and the late Bob Campbell.
Fondly remembered by his many nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

Jay had a lifelong passion for hockey and loved sharing that joy with his kids. Summers found him happiest at the campground, surrounded by nature and the warmth of a good campfire. When hockey season returned in the Fall, his true colours: white, red, and blue shone proudly as he cheered on his Montreal Canadiens. In his spare time, he found great joy tinkering and puttering around in the garage.

A skilled heavy equipment operator by trade, a hockey player and fan at heart, and above all a devoted husband and dad—Jay will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

His care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will take place on

Thursday, October 23^rd from 2-4 and 6-8 only.

A Tribute to honour Jay will be held in the

Pilon Family Chapel, Friday morning, October 24^th at 11 o’clock.

Interment White Lake Cemetery.

A Celebration of Jay’s Life will be hosted at the Campbell Family Farm, 593 Campbell Side Road, White Lake beginning Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
