Tanya and I had some mutual friends and had a bunch of classes together in High School. We didn’t keep in touch but somehow because of Facebook I was able to follow her journey of figuring out how to help her son Jacob with his school/academic challenges and getting him the help and respect he deserved. I wish I had told her how much I admire her for how hard she fought for him and how proud of him she was, even when teachers may have seen a “difficult kid” as many ADHD kids are treated. She didn’t know that her posts about her journey helped me recognize the same things in my boys. She didn’t know that I was inspired by her grit. She didn’t know how much I loved seeing her proud posts that talked about how far Jacob had come thanks to the love and commitment of a mother who can see who her child really is. I wish Fergus was old enough to know how fiercely his mama loves him and his step-brother.

We come before You in this time of deep sorrow, lifting up the memory of Tanya, whose radiant spirit lit up every room and whose infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her. We thank You for the gift of her life and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
Lord, we ask for Your comforting embrace to surround her loving parents, Jean and Garneth, her parents-in-law, Alan and Cheryl, and her dear husband, Tyler, who loved her immensely. May they feel Your presence in their hearts, bringing them peace amidst their grief.

To my family and to Tanya's Mom, Dad, bro, Tyler, Jacob, and the tens of thousands, jk, but close, lol, of Tanya's friends. My memories of Tanya: well, she was an incredible support to my family always. She made the incredibly artistic logo for Bradys memorial gunsmith shirts. She also made that beautiful sign for my mom's/Granny's celebration of life. She was always able to pop over and visit my mom and take her to appointments when needed. She also took so much of moms stuff, when her and Tyler were setting up thier new house. I am so very grateful for that, because I couldn't take much, but being in thier house reminds me of my childhood. I spent alot more time with Tanya this summer and I am so grateful I did. I will cherish these moments. She checked up on me in a big bad thunderstorm and she fed me for two nights, while staying at Cheryl and Alan's, to care for my mom. There are endless moments and stories and I am sure there isn't the space, but I am so grateful for her magical presence in my life. She was a grounding rock for our family when we were going through a difficult time, this summer and the last few years. Know I send all my love and healing energy to everyone who has been affected by her passing. You will survive this. You will eventually heal and you will be stronger for it and Tanya will be so proud. She will walk with you wherever you go. So much love sent.

Tyler, You and Tanya were the perfect fit and I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling right now. I only met Tanya a couple of times but it was clear how much of a wonderful, loving person she was.
