Shirley Carron

With sadness and broken hearts, the family announces that Shirley Ann Carron of Arnprior passed away peacefully at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital following a lengthy illness on Monday, November 3, 2025.

She was only 59 years of age.

Beloved and proud Mom of her only son, Aidan.

Cherished daughter of Liz Kargus (Les Deavy) and special sister of Bonnie James (Steven), Tina Cram (Ian) and Lisa Ethier (Ron).

Fondly remembered “Aunt Shirley” of Brittany James, Ally, Zach and Cole Cram, Lily, Sam and Jack Ethier.

Also survived by cousins and friends.

Shirley was predeceased by her father, Timothy Carron as well as her Stepfather, Bill Lairar.

Shirley worked hard to provide and care for her son.

She was blessed with tenacity that some may consider stubbornness which allowed her to achieve her goals and stand up for herself in life.

Blended with an incredible sense of humour, she had a level of human compassion that could bring light to family and friends on the darkest of days.

Her love of animals was evident in how she interacted with them.

Shirley was an outstanding artist whose work can be found far and wide throughout the Ottawa Valley and beyond.

Her many talents allowed her to own and operate her own businesses for many years.

She will be greatly missed.

Shirley’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior

where friends are invited to pay their final respects during visitation on Tuesday evening, November 11^th from 6 to 8 p.m. only.

In Shirley’s memory, a donation to the Arnprior Food Bank or the Arnprior Humane Society would be appreciated.
