Obituary of Kim Mather
Kimberley Mather
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Kim passed away at home with her husband and mother by her side following a long and courageous battle with cancer on Thursday evening, November 13, 2025. Kimberley Susan Mather of Pakenham was only 56 years of age. Beloved wife of Brian Lelacheur. Dearly loved daughter of Norma Horrocks (Robert) and Gary Mather (Linda). Much loved sister of Sheila Bohm (Thomas), Chelsea Horrocks (Kasey Kjernisped) and Rob Mather (Dana). Cherished and forever remembered by her niece, Hanna Bohm and nephews, Brandon Wallace, Brennen Mather and Alexander Mather. Dear sister-in-law of Edelgard Lelacheur and Peter Lelacheur.
Kim was born in Deep River Ontario. As a young child she moved to Winnipeg, India, Calgary, Montreal and finally Ottawa. For most of her young life, she rode and trained horses. After University she worked a variety of jobs excelling at each until she hit on creating a dog boarding kennel as a viable business plan. This lead her to a career as a dog groomer, then back to horses which she began breeding and finally to photography which had remained a life long passion. Never one to sit still, she enriched her life with competitive horse riding, taking courses at University, and racing mountain bikes.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during an informal visitation to be held at the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior on Sunday, November 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. only.
In memory of Kim, a donation to the Canadian Wildlife Fund would be appreciated by her family.
