Obituary of John Singleton
It is with tender hearts and much love that the family share the passing of John Singleton of Constance Bay/Kanata, 82 years, born April 20, 1943. Son of the late John & Jean Singleton and older brother of Bruce (Cheryl).
John began his next journey surrounded by family on Thursday, December 4 at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice.
Lovingly known as Johnny, John, Dad, Pops and Papa he will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years Penny Singleton; daughters, Joelle (Bruce McClure) & Stephanie; son Josh as well as his grandchildren, Ally and Grady McClure.
John was a hard worker, spending a good portion of his career as Superintendent at Fuller Construction and was always proud of the work he was involved in. He loved his years in Constance Bay with family and special friends.
John loved family. Cars, boats, motorcycles and music were his passions. He was known to share stories of his life and travels, having enjoyed numerous motorcycle trips including to Alaska and California. He also liked to share his knowledge of whiskey and enjoying what he fondly referred to as a "whiskey drink" with good friends.
We would like to thank everyone along the way for the wonderful care and compassion shown to John and family, too numerous to mention, but especially to the staff and volunteers at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice who provided endless comfort towards the end of John’s life.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the
Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior where friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation on
Saturday, January 24th, 2026 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.
A Service to honour and remember John will follow in the
Pilon Family Chapel at 3 o’clock.
The service will be webcast live for those unable to attend. (Click Here)
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice or a charity of choice would be very much appreciated.
