Doris "Dodi" Lawrence Gravelle

December19, 1919 - December 8, 2025

Beloved mother of the late Gail Gravelle Brown.

Loving grandmother of Christopher, Stacey(Joel) and Andrew.

Loving great-grandmother of Kristen(Andreas), Matthieu, Philippe and Nicholas.

Loving great great-grandmother of Cruz and Eliana. Loving auntie of Scott Lawrence and great aunt of Julia.

Predeceased by her sister Kay, her brother Jimmy & nephew Craig.

She will be sadly missed by her other adopted family, Donna (late Carl), Samantha and Jessica. 

Dear daughter of the late Muriel and Harry Lawrence of Montreal and Rosemere Quebec.

Doris spent her childhood in Montreal, where she married and had her daughter Gail. 

Doris was a nurse for the Veteran’s Hospital. 

She enjoyed her years in Montreal with family and friends. 

She also spent time in Mexico with her sister Kay. 

In her later years, she moved to Arnprior and then her final years in Victoria, BC.

Doris was known for being a proper and positive woman, a very determined spirit, an engaging conversationalist, and a generous soul. 

She always welcomed time for a brunch or tea with friends. 

She approached challenges with a keen intellect and unwavering realism. 

She had many interests including fine clothing, reading, sewing, music, walks and shopping.

Doris passed from this earth at the age of 105 years and she will be sadly missed by her many family and close friends.

Her final resting place will be at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montreal.

In Dodi's memory, a donation to the Arnprior Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
