Michel “Mike” Hill

(Retired – Government of Canada)

Mike passed away peacefully at home on Friday evening, December 12, 2025 with his beloved wife, Madeleine (nee Parent, formerly Sutherland) by his side.

Michel André Hill of Arnprior was 72 years of age.

Mike is survived by Madeleine’s children, Jocelyne and Shawn; his brothers, Gerry (Sandy) and Dan (Hélène).

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents: Hervé and Irène Hill as well as his sister, Lorraine Krueger (late John) and his brother, Bob (late Anne).

Mike joined the Public Service in 1975 and dedicated the next 35 years of his life as a loyal federal public servant until retirement.

He was an avid history and sports enthusiast especially in the games of golf, hockey and football.

He kept his strong faith and great sense of humour to the very end.

The family wish to express heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Arnprior Hospital Medical Day Stay Team as well as the amazing staff at Hospice Renfrew, especially Dr. Stephanie Langlois. Your thoughtfullness, dedication and true caring meade such a difference in Michel's journey through end of life.  

Final arrangements for Mike have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior

where visitation will take place on Friday morning, December 19^th from 9:30 to 10:45.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o’clock.
