Bill was my track coach throughout high school and he was a effective coach, great communicator and I remember his sense of humor. I appreciated the time he devoted to our development by giving up his time in evenings and weekends at various track meets. A great guy! I also had the pleasure of working with Rhea at Bell Canada for 2 years. She was wonderful.

Bill and Rhea were a real encouragement to us when we first joined the Eastern Association of the NAB. I always appreciated Bill's servant heart and tireless efforts to encourage us as pastors as churches. I am grateful that he is now safely home and we are praying for his family as they walk through these days of grief. May the Lord comfort your hearts and grant you the peace of his presence.

Sending condolences to Bill’s family. I met Bill and Rhea as a child at FBC. I spent many summers at camp and they gave me some of the most memorable childhood moments. They were like second parents to all of the kids and were such amazing people. A life well lived ❤️

We were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's sudden and unexpected passing on Christmas Day and wish to extend our sincere sympathy to Sheryl and Ron at the loss of your brother and brother-in-law, to Todd and Katherine and your family at the loss of your father and grandfather, to Patti and Nathan and your family at the loss of your father and grandfather and to Brad and Melissa and your family at the loss of your step-father and grandfather.
Bill has left an indelible mark on Bonnechere Baptist Camp, and only heaven will tell how many lives were changed as a result of their attending BBC.
We could always tell when track season had begun at ADHS, as Bill would appear at church on a Sunday morning with a bright red face from spending time outdoors with the students. We are sure that there are many students who will remember him fondly.

So sorry to hear of Bills passing. Sending my heartfelt condolences to all the family. I cherish memories of time spent at The Baptist camp on Round Lake, a project dear to my father’s heart. Many summers were spent there as a camper and councillor. Just recently, I was happy to meet up with and catch up on life with his sister Sheryl. We have lots of camping and conference times memories that we recalled and cherish. My thoughts to you especially, Sheryl.

To the Kauffeldt, Blyth, and Hanniman families, and all who knew and loved Bill,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of Bill. It's been a very long time since I saw him on a regular basis, having left Arnprior for university at 19 and then moving to Calgary more than 20 years ago. Bill had an immense impact on me during my years attending FBC and Bonnechere Baptist Camp, both as a camper and counsellor. I had the privilege of running into him at the Ottawa airport sometime in the past 5-7 years, as we were both headed back west. His quick wit had not changed one bit! Sending you all comfort as you grieve this loss.
Kindly,
Lisa Burton (formerly Herrick)
