Obituary of Boris Pustjak
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his friends at Hospice Renfrew, Boris Pustjak, age 72 of Arnprior, Ontario, passed away on Monday morning, January 5, 2026.
Born in Arnprior, Boris lived his entire life in the community he called home.
He was the beloved son and last surviving child of Dmytro and Maria (nee Spilar) Pustjak, and a loving brother to the late Lydia Slatery (James), late Peter, and late baby Gloria. Boris was an uncle to Alexandra (Tyler) and Michael and great-uncle to baby Norah. Predeceased by his nephew Peter.
He will be fondly remembered by his dear friend Karen Kennedy, as well so many other special friends along with extended family in Australia, Pennsylvania, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
Boris had a sincere love for animals and the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden, and he cherished the many friendships he built over a lifetime. Known for his steady presence and fierce loyalty, Boris will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Boris’ care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior where family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, January 12th from 2-3. A graveside service to honour Boris will be held in the Spring at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery on Merivale Road.
