Obituary of Beverley Wilson

WILSON, Beverley Jill

Beverley Jill Wilson passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born February 23, 1945 at the Grace Hospital, Bev was the daughter of the late Joan and Maurice McCallum of Carp, Ontario.

She grew up on her parents’ poultry farm, McCallum’s Poultry, where like all farm kids she worked hard - but her favorite part was caring for the baby chicks she so dearly loved.

Bev was a devoted and loving wife to Weldon Wilson for just shy of 60 years.

Daughter-in-law to the late Sherriff and late Ruby Wilson.

A true mom, Bev was the best mom to Scott (Karen) and Ted Wilson.

An amazingly cool and involved grandma to Hillary, Tanner, Sierra, and McKayla Wilson.

Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and bonus grandchildren, Isabella and Abbi - she was always calling, texting, or messaging her two sons,

but especially her grandchildren, staying connected and present in their lives.

She was a big sister and special friend to Barb Paul and Doug (Barb) McCallum, sister-in-law to late Dale (Elaine) Wilson,

loving aunt to late Rob Wilson, Mike (Frances) Wilson and Jamie (Barb) Paul,

and great-aunt to Cullen, Maeve, Victoria, Claire, Jacob, and Camden.

Together Bev and Weldon built a life of partnership and resilience.

They started and ran a successful construction company for over 25 years until the recession of 1991.

Undaunted, they started over - always together.

Bev went on to successfully sell Weekenders Ladies Wear, carrying her clothing lines from home party to home party for many years until the company closed.

In her earlier years, Bev worked as a phone operator at Monk Rural in Carp.

When she and Weldon were younger, they loved to dance at “The Chaud” (Chaudiere Club) and dance halls throughout Aylmer, Ottawa, and the Valley.

Bev loved her late Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Bob, her cousins, and friends - especially her lifelong friend Evelyn Rintoul - dearly, keeping in touch until the end.

If you were lucky enough to be a friend of Bev’s, it was pretty special.

Though fibromyalgia, COPD, and a deteriorating spine made her last 15 years often debilitating, Bev rarely complained.

She was small but mighty.

Special thank you to Dr. Bowles for all his compassion and help over the years and the nurses and doctors at Arnprior Hospital in her final days.

Heartfelt thank you to Maddy Lajeunesse for all she has done to help Bev and Weldon.

And if heaven has a ballroom, with music softly playing,

she’s dancing again tonight—

free, peaceful, and surrounded by love and family.

We love you too, 100 million bushels!

You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Final care and arrangements for Bev have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior
