Obituary of Mike Savard

Michael James “Mike” Savard

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Mike passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital

while surrounded by loved ones in the early morning hours of Friday, February 6, 2026.

Michael James Savard was 70 years of age.

Mike was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gladys in 2007.

He is survived by his children: Jeff Savard, Curtis McNaughton, Kelsey Savard and Kyler Savard (Katelyn)

and his grandchildren: River Savard, Brendan and Cadence McNaughton, Josh Savard, Jordan and Jayden Bellinger, Norah and Wyatt Savard.

Dear brother of Kim Blackburn (late Jim), Kevin Savard (Carol) and Chris Savard.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Son of the late Norman and Frances (nee Courchesne) Savard.

Mike was born in Arnprior and spent his entire life here.

He drove truck for various companies until his retirement several years ago.

In recent years, Michael fell on hard times and became known to many local residents

as he spent many months virtually living on the doorstep of what was then a legal office in downtown Arnprior.

He was fortunate to find a new home at Country Haven Retirement Home in Beachburg

where he spent the last couple years of his life before being admitted to hospital last Friday.

The family wish to acknowledge the human kindness and extreme generosity of area residents who took the time to chat with Mike

and share a meal or a cup of coffee when the chips were down.

Everyone went above and beyond.

Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.

Friends are invited to share a memory of Michael with his family during visitation at the

Pilon Family Funeral in Arnprior

on Tuesday evening, February 10th from 6 to 8 p.m.

He will be buried in the family plot at Malloch Road Cemetery in Arnprior later in the Spring.

In his memory, please be kind to someone in need.
