Obituary of Paul Vernon

VERNON, Paul Craig

With heavy hearts the family announces that Paul passed away peacefully, with family by his side

at the Grove Long-Term Care Home on Sunday evening, February 8, 2026.

He was 72.

Beloved husband of Mary Lynn for over 54 years.

Loved Dad of Chad Vernon (Shelly), Ginny Vernon and Matthew Vernon (Mackenzie Wegman).

Cherished grandpa of Phillip Jaakkola.

Dear brother of Nels Teigen (late Roy) and stepbrother of Fred Tellier (Carol), Tom Tellier (Sherri) and Joe Tellier (Nancy).

Special brother-in-law of Patti Groff (David) and Sharon Laplante (late Jerry).

Paul was predeceased by his sister Faye Chevrier (Pete), brothers Garfield Vernon (Linda) and David Vernon (Joan),

stepsister Lois Wilson (M.B) and brothers-in-law Michael and Peter Cooper.

He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Paul always enjoyed staying active.

Whether taking a long ride on his bike or participating in countless walk-a-thons, he consistently remained energetic.

He was also an avid coin collector, jumping on any opportunity to take another tour of the mint, locally or abroad.

When Christmas rolled around every year, family could always count on a special 50 cent coin from uncle Paul to add to their own collections.

Along with his relentless sense of humour, Paul’s love for his family never wavered.

Visiting with those he loved was always a highlight, and he had an amazing ability to bring a smile to your face on any occasion.

He will be greatly missed.

Paul’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior.

Friends are invited to join the family during visitation on Friday, April 10th from 9:45 to 10:45 am.

A service to honour and remember Paul will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o'clock.

Reception at Pilon's.

Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
