William "Bill" Devlin

Obituary of William "Bill" Devlin

Peacefully at Almonte Country Haven on Tuesday evening, February 24, 2026, Bill passed away at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Betty (nee Horner) for almost 62 years.

Loved and cherished Dad of Shawn (Fay), Jodi Magee (Steve Worth),

and Robbi (Tamara).

Proud and treasured grandpa of Jacob Magee and Sydney and Madison Devlin.

Bill was the last surviving child of the late Joseph and Alma (nee Lafrance) Devlin.

He was predeceased by his siblings: Emile, Desmond, Rita, Francis, Austin, Gloria, Theresa, Dorilla and Jerome.

Bill lived life on his own terms. An entrepreneur at heart, he had a natural instinct for opportunity and a remarkable knack for knowing what would succeed. Over the years, he pursued business ventures with confidence and determination, guided by hard work, resilience, and a quiet belief in himself.

While he took pride in his accomplishments, nothing meant more to Bill than his family. He loved deeply and was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, taking great joy in their achievements and the lives they were building. His love was steady and strong, shown more in actions than words.

Bill also had a soft spot for his cats and dogs, who were always part of the family. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years, but he was especially proud of his meticulous restoration work on antique buggies, cutters, and sleighs. Through patience and craftsmanship, he brought pieces of history back to life, preserving them with care and skill.

He held a special place in his heart for his nephew Peter Devlin and his family, sharing a bond that was both meaningful and lasting.

Bill will be remembered for his independence, his entrepreneurial spirit, his craftsmanship, and, above all, his unwavering love for his family.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Almonte Country Haven.
