Obituary of Marie Chapeskie

With loving hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of Marie Ann Chapeskie at the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 84.

Marie will be dearly missed by her sisters, Bernice Latreille and Darlene Dewar. She was the loved aunt of Audrey, Paul, Beth and Bonnie, and cherished great aunt of Cass, Tyler, Hannah, Seamus, Nadja and Alex. Daughter of the late John and Genevieve (nee Soikie) Chapeskie. Predeceased by her sister Joan Sherlock (late Jack), as well as her nephews: John, Chris and Kyle. Marie will be fondly remembered by her best friend Wendy (Nigel) along with her many godchildren.

Over her long and dedicated career as a nurse, culminating at the Grace Hospital in Ottawa, Marie devoted herself to the comfort and well-being of countless patients and families. She earned the respect of her colleagues and the lasting gratitude of those she served.

Care and arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior where visitation will take place on

 Tuesday morning, March 3^rd from 9:30-10:15am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Braeside at 11 o’clock followed by

 interment at Malloch Road Cemetery.

In memory of Marie, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
