Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Eastman
1941 - 2026
(nee Needham)
With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Eastman, adored wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026.
Betty was the daughter of Stuart and Mary (nee Delahunt) Needham of Pakenham, Ontario. Upon meeting the love of her life, Dalton Eastman, they married and settled on their beloved farm in Kinburn, Ontario. For over 60 years, Betty was the heartbeat of the farm, truly partnering with Dalton, and in time John and Jennifer.
Betty was known for her gift of hospitality. Her home was always open, ready to welcome neighbours, friends, and family with a warm invitation to come in and have something to eat, and visit for awhile.
She was a gentle, kind, and nurturing mother to her children, Lynn Saunders (Troy), Darlene Jahn (Kevin McGonigal), and John (Jennifer). Betty took great joy in her role as "Grandma Eastman" to eight grand-children and sixteen great-grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and kindness.
Cherished Grandma of Ashley Maltais (Jevin), Amanda Weiberg (Kevin), Rebecca Saunders (Jeff); Andrew Jahn (Natalie), Jenna Lockwood (James); Avaleigh Schouten (Michael), Kaitlyn Rouleau (Nathan), Victoria Buma (Jason).
Dear sister of Pat Horner (Al) and predeceased by her sisters Rose McConnell (Burton), Iva Mondor (Aurel); brother Melvin Needham (Nancy); and sister-in-law Erva Rivington (Donald); and her brother-in-law Melvin.
