I am saddened to hear about Alison's passing. Much too young. I worked with her many years ago at the Social Services office at Scott Street. She was always very patient with me as she trained me from time to time. My condolences to the family and friends.
I worked with Alison for decades. She was always so helpful to me especially when she became the go to for anything computer related. She found her calling and many of us relied on her and appreciated her knowledge which she shared generously. May your memories be a blessing. PS she could really rock a high heel.

I have such nice memories of Alison in our time as your next door neighbours. She was always ready to share practical advice, whether it be cooking or gardening tips and even taught me to wallpaper one of the boys bedrooms. She loved her impromptu visits from a certain 2 year old who treated your house like his own. You guys were like family to us.

I remember when I first met Alison and her 3 beautiful kids as they walked in to my house for first day of babysitting. She laughed and told me good luck. She had a sense of humour I learned to know. She was a lovely woman I enjoyed her talks we had as she chased her kids at the end of the day. Her kids were first on her mind. She had great stories I enjoyed. Geoff, T J,Allie, Vic. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Alison meant more to me than I can put into words. She was such a big part of my childhood. She welcomed me into her home and treated me as if I were her own. Ill never forget the time us kids drove our bikes across the highway 17 and she caught us and made us walk our bikes all the way home while she followed with her 4ways on. She was always supplying us with fun arts and crafts supplies, making yummy snacks for us, and throwing us great new years parties. Ally was a friend. I’ll miss seeing her each week as I know you will miss her every day. She was so very honest and loving. And all the time I’ve known her I have been in awe of her courage and tenacity in the face of poor health.
