Obituary of Leslie "Les" Dalgleish

With sadness the family announces that Les passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was 84.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Ida Kilbride (nee Normandeau) in 2001.

Les was the proud and deeply loved Dad of Doreen Dubois (George), Linda Dubois (late Jean-Guy), Elaine Jozwiak (George), Sylvia Dubois (Roger), Susan Proulx (Brent), Donna Bell (Ray Cunningham), Cindy Dalgleish (Shawn Cheater), Melvin Dalgleish and Kevin Dalgleish.

Cherished grandpa of Michael, Mark, Steven, Christine, Tracy, Jennifer, Stanley, Christopher, Amanda, Katie, Dominic, Hilary, Sarah, Dylan, Samantha and Ryan.

Predeceased by his granddaughter Judy, and grandsons Donald and Tyler.

Les will be missed by his many great grandchildren and two great great grandchild.

A proud employee for the Town of Arnprior, Les spent many years working at the arena ensuring the facilities were clean and well maintained.

He eventually moved on to become a crossing guard, escorting students safely across a busy John Street for over 10 years.

A local icon and community spirit, Les will be greatly missed.

His care and arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior where visitation will be held on

Monday evening, March 16^th from 6-8 and

again on Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45.

A service to honour Les will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel

Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock.

Reception to follow.

Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
