Obituary of Frances Boudier

Frances Sadownyk

(nee Boudier)

With tremendous sadness, the family announces that Fran passed away suddenly at home in Arnprior on Tuesday evening, March 24, 2026 at the age of 88 years.

Predeceased by parents Dorothy and Frank Boudier.

Beloved wife of the late Orest Sadownyk.

Dearly loved and cherished mother of Wayne Sadownyk, Dennis Sadownyk (Amy) and Gail Staub (Gerry).

Predeceased by 2 sons: Ernie (Trudy) and Kevin Sadownyk.

Cherished and forever loved Grandma of Tasha, Brandon, Mariah, Ryan, Danielle, Rhys and Kolbie, and many great-grandchildren.

Dear sister of Ann, Judy, Eugene, and Marie. Predeceased by her brother Mike.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members, especially her special “book trading” friends, Pierre and Marianne, and long time close friend Bernice.

Fran had a special place in her heart for her 2 pugs, Lulu and Petey who didn’t like to leave her side and miss her terribly.

Fran was the toughest, kindest, sweetest, most wonderful woman you could ever meet.

Anyone that was fortune enough to meet her always said how kind and sweet she was.

She could light up a room when you saw her.

She was shy but loved to be involved with company and get togethers.

She always lit up when you mentioned you would play scrabble with her.

Everyone was cautious when agreeing to play scrabble because she always won.

She was a very avid reader and crossword puzzler. Including on the day she passed you could find her in her chair with a book or a crossword puzzle.

We were blessed to have her for 88 years and there is a huge hole in all of our hearts.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Arnprior paramedics who did everything they could to help Fran in her final minutes. As well, special thank you to Fran's neighbours: Paolo, Barbara, Linda and Greg.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the

Pilon Family in Arnprior.

At the request of Fran, her ashes will be spread at a later date in the mountains in British Columbia.
