So saddened and shocked this morning to learn of Heather's passing. I had the pleasure of partying with her a few times, and her smile was infectious. I also held her in high esteem as I knew her during the tough times of the tours to Afghanistan, where she served in a time that was chaotic and challenging and heartbreaking. She was a strong, determined, smart and fun-loving woman, and I know she will certainly be an angel of high regard up in the heavens.

My very deepest sympathy to all of Heather's family and friends for your loss. I volunteered with Heather and knew her to be hard-working, caring, kind and loyal. I am sad to learn she is no longer part of this transient life where she brought love and the joy to all she touched. Rest in peace, Heather.

Lacey and Jessica, Dennis and I are deeply saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. I ran into Heather two years ago. She told us how proud she was of you girls. You were her life. Your mom was an amazing woman who I will always cherish our times together and being part of watching her beautiful girls grow into beautiful ladies. May she rest in peace and always remember she is by your side.
Love Debbie and Dennis

I met Heather Peach, as she was named then, in 1981, on the Teletype and Cypher course at the Canadian Forces School of Communications at Electronics in Kingston. She was a lovely girl, ever so sweet and kind. She actually helped me train for the qualification run because she was a greyhound on the track, and I certainly wasn't. I next ran into Heather with course member Ed Skidmore, in Lahr, Germany. It was great fun to catch up with her. She put 25 years into the Canadian Forces as a Signals Operator, holding a clearance of Top Secret. Her role was to defend the nation's secrets, and she did so in an exemplary fashion. I never met anyone who didn't hold Heather in the highest regard, and I doubt that I ever will. Fair winds, kind-hearted Peachie.
