Obituary of Heather Liberty
Heather Liberty
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Heather passed away peacefully at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital
with loved ones by her side on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2026.
Heather Anne Liberty of Carleton Place was only 63 years of age.
Dearly loved and proud Mom of Lacey Ballinger (William Ballinger) and Jessica Clements (Andrew Forcellini) and cherished Nanny of Amy Ballinger.
A woman of immense warmth, strength, and generosity, she dedicated much of her retirement to volunteering and giving back to the community.
She had a profound connection to nature and could often be found tending to her beautiful garden,
finding peace and joy in watching things grow.
In recent years, she also discovered a vibrant passion for pickleball, bringing her characteristic energy and enthusiasm to the court before her illness prevented her from playing.
Some of her happiest moments were spent in the great outdoors, enjoying the simple pleasures of life from her beloved camper.
Her gentle soul extended to all living things; she possessed a deep love for animals, and they instinctively loved her right back.
Above all else, her family was her heart.
She was a devoted and deeply loving mother to her two daughters, and the absolute light of her life was her granddaughter, Amy, who will forever cherish the magic of having her as her "Nanny."
She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and community spirit that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
