Obituary of Terry Pulcine
Terry Pulcine
Peacefully, with his loving wife and daughters by his side at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Friday, May 29, 2026, Terry passed away at the age of 75.
Beloved husband and best friend of Irene (née Farrell) for over 51 years and loved and cherished Dad of Colleen and Susie (Mike Lynch).
Proud and loving Papa of Evelyne, Maggie, Olivia, and Colton.
Dear brother of Gerry (Mary), Larry (Cheryl), Jerome (Cathy), Tom (Kathy), and Sheila (Jack Moran), and predeceased by his infant sister Colleen.
Much-loved son of the late Lorne and Eileen (née Brennan) Pulcine.
Special son-in-law of the late Stephen and Rose Farrell.
Fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Steve Farrell (late Laurie) and sisters-in-law Bernice Fitzmaurice (Pat), Helen Coady (John), and Colleen Piasetzki (Bill), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Terry was born in Renfrew and spent his early years growing up in Arnprior, where he met the love of his life, Irene.
As a young boy, he delivered newspapers, and as a teenager worked at Wes’s Chips.
Terry went on to build a career with Bell Canada as an installation and repair technician, dedicating 33 years of service.
He was fortunate to enjoy early retirement, spending those years golfing, travelling to Myrtle Beach, taking aimless countryside drives, and, most importantly, enjoying time with family and friends.
Terry loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He approached every day with a smile, a story, and a willingness to lend a helping hand.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Terry’s passion for athletics was woven throughout his life.
He played hockey with the Arnprior Packers, pitched softball, curled, golfed, bowled, threw horseshoes, played darts, and enjoyed skiing.
More importantly, he passed on his love of sports on to his children and grandchildren, teaching them not only how to compete,
but how to enjoy the game, respect others, and carry themselves with grace in both victory and defeat.
Terry was also a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 53 years and a longtime member of the Legion.
Over the years, he continued giving back to his community by volunteering at Thursday night bingo, always happy to help wherever he was needed.
A true handyman and jack of all trades, Terry was known by family and friends as the “fixer extraordinaire.” He could fix just about anything, always seeming to have the right tool at hand. He took great pride in maintaining not only his own home but also helping care for the homes of family members. If something was broken, Terry was the first person you called. If you needed help, he was already on his way.
He was the neighbour everyone knew and the friend everyone appreciated. Many afternoons were spent sitting outside in the garage, chatting with neighbours, sharing stories, offering advice, and enjoying the simple pleasure of good company. No one ever passed by without being greeted by Terry.
Above all else, Terry was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a man of deep faith.
One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and cheering them on from the sidelines of their activities and accomplishments.
Terry was known for his sense of humour and his ability to lovingly tease those closest to him.
Whether he was offering golf advice, sharing his views, or trying to keep family members on the right track, he did it all with love, laughter, and a genuine desire to help.
His absence leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled, but his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the lives he touched, and the countless memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, volunteer, mentor, sportsman, and neighbour, Terry’s impact will be felt for generations to come.
Terry’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the
