Deepest condolences to McCue families and relatives. We all lost a wonderful person and especially a gifted guitarist and vocalist. It was more than 60 years ago, Richard and 'Ricky' Bertrand showed up at my place to check out a guitar I never learned to play, but, it was not suitable for Richard. He remained a friend for life, and inspired me to try guitar again, but I lacked the talent and determination to succeed but still had fun trying.. Richard was able to recreate the sound and vocals of any number of entertainers such as Clapton, Harrison, Skunk Baxter etc... although never really well equipped with the latest gizmos and gadgets available to guitar players at the time, Richard seemed able to capture the sounds with whatever equipment he had. Most memorable was a rendition he did of Jerry Raferty's 'Stuck in the Middle with you' (Steelers Wheel) Jason mentioned just recently, how close to original it sounded. Too True! He will be missed, and my thoughts and prayers are along with those of us who still remain. 0

Our most sincere condolences to Dickie’s family at this time of loss. Quiet approach and a great sense of humour were Dickie’s talents along with his music. Was fortunate to have him as a friend during our high school days in the 60s often hanging out at the Herrick farm on the edge of town. I am so sorry to hear this. I will always remember sitting on the front steps at my Grandmother's house with "Dickie". He would be playing his guitar and singing. I would be listening and idolizing this wonderful cousin of mine. (VINY). Then in later years watching him in "Jude" and in other bands.

MaryEllen and family, and the McCue family, my condolences to you all on the loss of Dickie. Well Dickie you are now in the Heavens Above with these valley musicians, Ricky Bertrand, Mike Laderoute, John Arbic, Dick Obst, Jimmy Leitch, Harold Leitch, and Boyd Hogan, and as you walk through Heaven's Gates, I can picture in my mind them saying to you, Hey McCue, get your Angel Wings over here and jam with us. In the Heavens above, you are all members of one group called the Angel Wings Band, and doing one of the things you all loved doing while here on earth, making music.

I met Rick in Ottawa when his band was very popular. He is my brother in-law and was always very kind and a great father to Erin and Amy when they are still very young. I met Rick in the late 70's and we became close through the Eighties until we lost touch with each other. I still remember that Sunday evening in October 1981 when we went to see a fledgling Bryan Adams at the old Riverside Hotel in front of a sparse crowd. Rick of course was never shy and invited him to join us after the first set which he accepted for a brief chat. Wonderful memories , His spirit will remain with us all.
