Obituary of Annette Beaudry

(née Poulin)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Annette Beaudry (née Poulin) on July 14, 2026, at the age of 88.

Annette was born and raised in Azilda, Ontario, to the late Aldège and Bernadette (née Brabant) Poulin. Her life was defined by love, kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. Annette is survived by siblings, Raymond (Lorraine) and Adrienne (late Fernand). She was predeceased by her siblings Lucien, Laurent, Aimée, Hector, and Laurette. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gaston Beaudry, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together they built a beautiful life and family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Though they were parted by his passing, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is once again reunited with Gaston, the love of her life.

As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Annette's greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, leaving a legacy that will continue through the generations she cherished so deeply. Her gentle wisdom, caring heart, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Claude (Maureen) and Rhéal (Leah); her grandchildren, Vanessa, Sylvain, Marc, and Josée; and her precious great-grandchildren, Manuel, Jules, Rose, and Caleb.

To her grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother, she was a source of unconditional love, comfort, and generosity. A visit with Mamère never ended without leaving with a full heart, a snack for the road, and, often, a cold Pepsi. Those simple gestures became treasured traditions and are among the many memories her family will carry with them always.

Annette found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a remarkable talent for sewing and knitting, creating countless handmade gifts that her family will treasure for years to come. She also loved cooking and took great pride in preparing delicious meals that brought family and friends together around her table. She especially looked forward to her shopping adventures with her beloved sister, Laurette, and her sister-in-law, Lorraine. Those outings were filled with laughter, friendship, and countless cherished memories. Her home was always a place of comfort, where everyone was welcomed with open arms, good food, and a caring heart.

She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her comforting presence, and the love she gave so freely to others. Though her passing leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind and in knowing that her love will remain with them always.

While her family grieves her loss, they are profoundly grateful for the 88 years of love, strength, laughter, and kindness she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Annette’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, Arnprior, Ontario, where visitation will take place on Friday morning, July 31 from 9:30-10:45.

A funeral service will be held in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock.

Internment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, Ontario at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and healthcare professionals at The Grove who provided compassionate care and kindness during Annette's final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
