Obituary of Garry Langford
It is with profound sadness that the family of Garry Allan Langford of Woodlawn announce his passing on Friday, July 17th, 2026.
Garry was the devoted husband of Valerie, loving father of Richard (Tracie) and Kimberly (Darryl Eastman) and proud grandfather of Nicholas (Hope), Ashley (Drew) and Joshua Langford, and Emma-Lee and Daniel Sucee, and step-grandchildren Madison and Benjamin Eastman.
He is also survived by his siblings Sandra (late Jean-Marc Rodgers), Iris (late George Smith), Arthur (Leslie) and Jimmy McCallum. Garry will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Garry is predeceased by his parents Ira and Carrie Langford and by two infant grandchildren, William Langford and Gillian Sucee.
Garry was a farmer by heart and a mechanic by trade. With over 40 years of dedicated service with the City of Ottawa, Garry was the definition of a hard worker. He dedicated his life to working the land and fixing what was broken, never shying away from long hours or calloused hands. He was a good neighbour and friend to many in the West Carleton area where he grew up, raised his family and enjoyed life on the family farm.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of the nurses and doctors who cared for Garry throughout his illness.
