Obituary of Sadie Hicks

Sadie Hicks (nee Hamilton)

1934-2026

Sadie died peacefully surrounded by her family at the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital on July 19^th, 2026. She is survived by her three sons Allan (Terry), Cliff (Karen), Wayne (Mandy), 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Elwy Hicks (2001) and her nine siblings: Mabel, Ida, Effie, Wilbert, Mildred, Connie, Bill, David and Norman.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at St. Andrew’s United Church, Valcartier, Quebec on Saturday August 29th, 2026 between 10:00am-11:00am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am.

A celebration of Sadie’s life will be held in Ottawa at a later date. Details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or the Roger Lamont Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
