Obituary of Thomas White
Thomas Sebastien White
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Thomas passed away peacefully at his home in Ottawa with his sister by his side on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026. He was only 45 years of age. Beloved son of Nicole (Denis Larivière) and the late Gerald White. Dearly loved brother of William White (Thuy-Vi) and Lydia Wilbur (Adam). Dearest and loving Mononcle Thomas of Remy and Henry White and Claire Wilbur. Special nephew of Jane Campbell, Alan Campbell, Lise Giannini, Aline and Brian Fowler, Hélène and Claude Bélanger, Sylvie and Vince Rimbach. Also survived and lovingly remembered by his many cousins, colleagues and friends.
Thomas lived a life defined by love and loyalty. He cherished his family above all else, finding his greatest joy in the people he loved. Music was the soundtrack of his life, and his passion for punk shone through every performance with his bands NIMBY, Demoxyde, Spilt Guts, Mudplots, and Ain’t No Grave. Whether on stage or with friends, he brought energy, humour, and authenticity that left a lasting impression. His generous spirit extended far beyond music through his steadfast support of the Ottawa Food Bank and his willingness to help anyone in need. That same compassion guided his career as an X-ray technologist at the Civic Hospital and Heart Institute, where he cared for patients with skill, kindness, and respect. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, music, and selfless service that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Thomas’ family would like to extend their appreciation for all of the teams involved in his care at the Heart Institute and Civic Hospital. Special thanks go out to Dr. Beauchesne, Dr. Contreras and Nurses Sheila and Frédérique.
Arrangements for Thomas have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior. A private family graveside service and gathering will be held to celebrate Thomas.
In his memory, please consider a donation to the Heart Institute or CHEO.
